Finger Painting

My youngest daughter has recently discovered the joy of coloring. Along with this discovery has been the interesting challenge of guiding her to discern what are appropriate surfaces for coloring and which are not. So we got her a notebook, and her own pencils and are hoping to manage the chaos for now. It got me thinking what other creative outlets she might be interested in. Being that it is summer time and being only partially dresses is completely acceptable I figured lets finger paint. So we took everyone out on the front porch, laid down some paper placed out the paint and let the chaos ensue. It was glorious! Then when we were done, the garden hose came out, I sprayed down the porch and set up the sprinkler for the kids. The mess and the mischief were managed.
